FAQ for property managers
How do I get owner banking information?
Ask each owner for a void cheque or their banking details (institution, transit, account number) when they sign on. Many property managers include this in their management agreement package. Enter the details in EFT Flow's vendor list once.
Can I pay both owners and vendors from the same system?
Yes. Set up owners and vendors in your EFT Flow recipient list. Import separate payment files for each, or combine them. Generate one file to upload to your bank.
What if an owner's bank rejects the payment?
You'll get a return notification from your bank (usually within 2-3 business days). Common causes: closed account, incorrect transit number. Verify the owner's banking info and resend.
Does this work with trust accounts?
Yes. Generate your CPA-005 file and upload it to your trust account's business banking portal. EFT Flow doesn't care which account the file is uploaded from—that's between you and your bank.
Can multiple users access the same recipient list?
EFT Flow is a desktop app with data stored locally. For shared access, install on a shared drive or use our multi-seat licensing for multiple users with synchronized data.
